GARY FRONTIERA AIF®

Founder & President

Gary Frontiera is the founder of Sterling Retirement Group, an independent, SEC-registered investment advisory firm based in the Sacramento area. He built Sterling with a simple belief: clients deserve clear, honest guidance and a long-term partner they can trust to help them make better financial decisions.

With over two decades of experience, Gary focuses on helping individuals and families navigate the decisions that matter most—retirement, investing, taxes, and major life transitions. His approach is grounded in fiduciary responsibility, meaning every recommendation is made with the client’s best interest first.

Gary’s philosophy is straightforward: financial success is not about chasing returns or reacting to headlines—it’s about consistently making the right decisions over time.

At Sterling, Gary and his team don’t just manage investments or create financial plans. They work alongside clients as a decision partner—helping them understand their options, avoid costly mistakes, and move forward with confidence.

Clients often come to Gary when they feel uncertain about what to do next—whether it’s investing cash, preparing for retirement, or making a significant financial move. His role is to bring clarity to those moments and help guide the right course of action.

Known for his direct, no-nonsense communication style, Gary prioritizes simplicity and transparency. He believes financial advice should be easy to understand and practical to implement—not overly complex or theoretical.

Under his leadership, Sterling has grown through long-term client relationships and referrals, reflecting a commitment to service, trust, and consistent results over time.

Outside of the office, Gary maintains a disciplined daily routine and values staying active, focused, and present for his family. That same discipline carries into his work—bringing consistency and accountability to every client relationship.

Outside of the office, Gary’s most important role is being a husband and father. He and his wife are approaching their 20-year anniversary, and he often describes her as the backbone of their family—the strength, intelligence, and steady presence that holds everything together. They have three children—Connor (18), Cole (16), and Caitlyn (13)—who are all active in sports, doing well academically, and, most importantly, growing into kind, disciplined individuals. For Gary, his family is both the reason behind his drive and the standard by which he measures success.
