A financial plan built for real life - and designed to keep working as life changes.

Retirement decisions do not happen in isolation. We bring your income, investments, taxes, insurance, estate considerations, family priorities, and future goals into one practical plan you can understand and use.

At Sterling Retirement Group, planning starts with listening. Before we recommend an investment, insurance strategy, or retirement-income decision, we take the time to understand your family, your priorities, the resources you have today, and what a successful future looks like to you.

Our job is to take a financial life that can feel like an overfilled junk drawer – scattered accounts, competing priorities, tax rules, deadlines, and unanswered questions – and organize it into a strategy you can understand and use. The goal is greater clarity today and a brighter, more confident financial future.

We then organize the full picture – retirement accounts, pensions, Social Security, real estate, cash flow, insurance, taxes, debts, and legacy goals – so you can see how the pieces work together. Our job is to turn that information into clear decisions, not overwhelm you with a complicated report.

Your plan is not a document that gets placed on a shelf. It is the foundation for the advice we give, the accounts we manage, and the adjustments we make with you over time.

How Our Planning Process Works:

Understand What Matters Most

We learn what you are trying to accomplish, what concerns you, how you make financial decisions, and who else needs to be considered. We also gather and organize your accounts, income sources, expenses, benefits, insurance, and other financial resources.

Build and Stress-Test the Strategy

We model retirement income, spending, taxes, market risk, major purchases, family needs, and unexpected events. We show you what appears sustainable, where the risks are, and which trade-offs deserve your attention.

Put the Plan to Work and Keep It Current

We help implement the agreed-upon strategy and revisit it as markets, tax rules, income needs, health, family circumstances, or priorities change. You will know what we are doing, why we are doing it, and what needs to happen next.

For clients subject to required minimum distributions, we help calculate and coordinate the required amount, explain available timing and withholding choices, and work to ensure distributions are completed by the applicable deadline. This ongoing attention can help clients avoid missed-distribution penalties and make more informed income and tax-planning decisions.

Questions Clients Commonly Ask

Can you review a plan or strategy I already have?
Yes. We can evaluate your existing plan, accounts, annuities, insurance, and investment strategy; identify gaps, unnecessary complexity, or outdated assumptions; and explain what we would keep, change, or investigate further.
No. Some of the most important planning decisions happen five, ten, or even twenty years before retirement. We also work with people who are already retired and need help turning accumulated assets into dependable, tax-aware income.
Yes. We coordinate pensions, Social Security, required distributions, portfolio income, cash reserves, annuities when appropriate, and account withdrawals so the strategy is practical month to month – not just successful on paper.
We do more than remind you that an RMD is due. We help determine how much must be withdrawn, discuss when and from which account it may make sense to take it, coordinate tax withholding and cash needs, and follow through so the distribution is completed on time. When appropriate, we also coordinate with your tax professional.
We establish a regular review schedule and remain available between meetings. When something important changes, you should not have to wait for an annual appointment to get advice.
